Frequently Asked Questions

• Are utilities included in the rent?

  • Yes! Utilities are included. All of our fees (property management, housekeeping, etc.) are also included, with the exception of the occupancy tax. 

• Do you allow children as Guests?

  • No, our property is not suitable for children under the age of 18. 

• Do you allow pets?

  • No, our property is not suitable for pets. 

• Do you allow couples (2 Guests that share a room)?

  • Yes, however due to the increase in utility and property usage, the monthly rent will be 1.5 times the asking rate. (For example, if the asking rate is $950, then a "couple" would be charged $1,425.) In addition, each Guest will need to sign their own lease agreement. 

• Can I bring my vehicle?

  • Of course! We have space for one vehicle per room. We ask that our Guests prioritize parking in the driveway or gravel, but parking in the grass is fine in a pinch. We also ask that our Guests, please respect our other Guests and park to maximize space and allow a safe exit, and to respect the neighbors by staying out of their drive way and yard. 

• Will my background/credit check be held against me or prevent me from renting a room?

  • While we strongly take into consideration the information provided to us in the application and reports we receive, we prefer to look at our Guests as a whole person. Please be honest and straightforward with us, we are usually open to giving people a chance. 

• I had an issue with my application. Who can I call to help me?

  • Any issues with the application process will need to be dealt with by TransUnion. The number to call for TransUnion support is 1-(866) 775-0961.

• I need to move in as soon as possible but I'm not sure about when I will be moving out, can I do a month-to-month lease?

  • Yes, you can do a month-to-month lease! However, please keep in mind that for a month-to-month lease or any lease less than three months, an occupancy tax (8% + $2 per night) will be added to the monthly rate. (For example, if the monthly rate is $950, the occupancy tax is about $138, so the total would be about $1088 each month.) Please, also keep in mind that either a Representative of Moonlight Fantasy Homes or the Guest will need to complete a Lease Termination Letter at the end of their stay. 

• Can I invite another person to visit me or can I have someone spend the night?

  • This will be on a case-by-case basis. In general, as long as you are honest and straightforward with us, we allow one visitor at a time and they may spend only one night at a time. We will ask for their name and age. Visitors must be 18 years or older. Please, keep in mind that you are responsible for your visitor. 

• Is this a Co-ed property?

  • Yes, we allow people of any gender to rent a room. We do not discriminate.
